CELOS — DMG Mori
UX Design / Front-end Development
CELOS is multi-touch app that runs on DMG-Mori CNC milling machines and allows the operator to prepare, optimise and process production jobs.
Schindler Creations is based in Austria and Switzerland and specialises in the area of design and innovation strategy for sophisticated products and complex systems. It provides game-changing solutions for future markets by rethinking the connections between users and their environments.
I joined Schindler Creations in Oct 2012 as User Experience Designer and Front-end Developer.
The first phase of the project (CELOS for DMG Mori) required requirements gathering. I designed rough sketches and wireframes (Balsamiq) based on usecase scenarios. The wireframes were then converted into prototype using proto.io and Axure.
CELOS frontend was coded in QT programming language, and Windows Presentation Foundation (XAML/C#). I was responsible for coding CELOS front-end for its multiple apps:
Job Manager, Job Scheduler, Job Assistant, Tool Handling, Control, Pallet Changer, Utilities, CAD-CAM View, Tech Calculator, Documents, Organizer, Energy Saving, Settings, Status Monitor
Animation — Flash, After Effects
UI Design — Photoshop / Illustrator
Version Control — SVN
Wireframe — Balsamiq
Prototype — proto.io, Axure
Front-end Development — HTML/CSS/JS, Qt, WPF(XAML, C#) Visual Studio
Project Management — Trello, Asana
